Bagnères is a charming little village located between Tarbes and the access roads to the high mountain passes, Tourmalet and Aspin. Well known for it's thermal spring and spa of Aquensis, it is also well known for the market takes place here both under cover and at " la place des Coustous" on saturday mornings. We invite you to taste the local produce like cold meats, for example "le porc noir Gascon", well known vegetables, such as onions from Trébons or carrots from Asté. Camping les Fruitiers *** à Bagneres de Bigorre - Hautes Pyrénées (65)

Leave  on a quest to conquer "Pic du Midi de Bigorre" from the ski station Tourmalet whatever the season, the famous "Cirques de Gavarnie" ,Troumouse and Estaubé", (ampitheatre like valley heads), go exploring on foot, on horse or mule towards the most famous one of them...

Discover the National park or the Néouvielle reserve by foot which have an exceptional flora and fauna or discover new sensations with more adventurous activities such as paragliding, canyoning, rafting,  or via ferrata ( mountain path equipped with ladders and bridges and fixed cables)…In this protected environment of valleys and mountains, without a doubt,  the goodtimes will be the diversions from the main path when you come accross marmots, isards, griffin vultures or  bearded vultures.

In winter, hurtle down the slopes of Tourmalet ski station and go on the hunt for animal tracks on your snow rackets....
Médous,  Gargas or Bétharram caves with "le gouffre d’Esparos" (potholes) will be a magical memory that you will never forget, For something completely different you must visit the highly cultural "Lourdes et de sa Basilique" (religious monument).
Moreover, the churches and chapels in the villages are undeniably charming with a particular architecture, alot of them have a lot of golden and polychrome plated furnishings and fittings, by the  Ferrère d'Asté  family, precusrors of art " Baroque Pyrénéen" (religious art). There are numerous altars and tabernacles and the true Pyrenean heritage can be dicovered in all of the  other 150 churches in the Hautes-Pyrénées.

The 'Sailies' museum in "Bagnères", which houses Roman ex-voto and precious earthenwares, at the foot of "Bédat" between thermal springs and a casino, is a must see. Jacobsins' tower and "Salut glen" are also great places for quiet strolls.
